Software

We've completed significant projects utilizing mainstream languages like Java, Objective-C, C/C++, and assembly. These projects have been on everything from PICs to big iron servers.

Some projects have required extensive support of server technologies like JBoss, Spring, Hibernate and relied on MySQL databases.
On the R&D side, we've integrated Mathematica and MatLab/SciLab with custom Java-based front-ends.

Recently, we've had the opportunity to explore Semantic Web technologies including RDF and OWL, and have developed a strong ontology supported development process for context-aware computing applications.

Hardware

TechConficio has designed, prototyped, and consulted on the manufacturing of digital hardware including a number of wireless modem-based systems. We are capable of medium-complexity designs and have successfully developed several multi-processor/FPGA(CPLD) designs in support of OFDM modems and software-defined radios.

We understand the trade-offs between software and hardware solutions and where best to apply either or both to achieve cost-effective results.

Signal Processing

TechConficio has strong experience in advanced 1-D and M-D signal processing. In addition to the efficient implementation and application of signal processing algorithms, we often are asked to start with problem definition and analysis and then tasked to create a suitable solution.

Our expertise is tied closely with our skills in software development (especially low-level programming) and FPGA/CPLD-based implementation. Some recent product solutions have included voice processing and echo cancellation, OFDM bit-level simulation, error correction, image processing, and video feature extraction and tracking.

Research

Software, hardware, and signal processing technologies have been a part of several research projects the people at TechConficio has been asked to develop over the past few years. In Canada, a few projects have been supported by the Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) or the Defense Industrial Research Program (DIRP). Others have been private and pre-commercial projects with specific product targets.

We have also worked with companies to develop R&D processes, including the tracking of SRED-eligible work and completion of claims.
